USL Weekly Preview - April 20/21
PASS4Soccer had five clients starting across the USL Championship and USL League One last weekend, including San Antonio FC defender Johnny Fenwick.
The centre-half made his professional debut against Las Vegas Lights and was handed the first start of his pro career against LA Galaxy II.
Elsewhere, Macauley King started his third match of the season on Monday evening, for Indy Eleven, while Will Seymore and Lewis Hilton played the full 90 minutes for Reno 1868 FC and Saint Louis FC respectively.
Each of the seven players, who could feature this weekend, gained scholarships through P4S, went on to have successful university careers - as well as graduating with a degree - and are now playing professionally in the United States.
USL Championship - Week 7
Bethlehem Steel FC vs Indy Eleven - April 20 (9:00pm)
King started his third match for Indy Eleven on Monday evening as they won 3-1 against Swope Park Rangers.
The defender, who scored his debut goal in front of a watching P4S group last month, played the full 90 minutes as Indy climbed up to seventh in the Eastern Conference.
Their opponents this weekend, Bethlehem Steel, sit two places above and have won three of their seven games - they lost their last match, 2-1 against Charlotte Independence.
Birmingham Legion FC vs Swope Park Rangers - April 20 (10:00pm)
Birmingham Legion won their second-consecutive match last weekend as they upset the odds to beat conference-leaders Saint Louis FC.
Legion took the lead twice and held off a late fightback from their opponents to win 3-2 and move up to 13th in the Eastern Conference, but midfielder Joe Holland didn't feature.
Swope Park Rangers, their week 7 opponents, sit second-bottom and have lost three of their four games in 2019 - their last match ended in a 3-1 defeat to Indy Eleven.
Pittsburgh Riverhounds FC vs Saint Louis FC - April 21 (12:00am)
Lewis Hilton played the full 90 minutes of Saint Louis FC's 3-2 loss at home to Birmingham Legion in Week 6.
The midfielder has played every minute so far as Saint Louis sit second in the Eastern Conference going into the game against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
Pittsburgh, after their opening-day loss, are unbeaten in four matches and won back-to-back games, against Louisville City and Hartford Athletic respectively.
Real Monarchs SLC vs San Antonio FC - April 21 (12:00am)
San Antonio FC revealed that midfielder Leeroy Maguraushe suffered a season-ending injury against the Las Vegas Lights.
Defender Johnny Fenwick started his first professional game in week 6 as San Antonio beat LA Galaxy II, which was their second victory of the season.
Real Monarchs sit in the top 10 in the Western Conference and suffered a heavy 5-1 defeat against New Mexico United last weekend.
Reno 1868 FC vs New Mexico United - April 21 (3:00am)
Will Seymore was one of four P4S clients to start in the USL Championship in wwek 6 and played the full 90 minutes against Colorado Spring Switchbacks.
Reno 1868 moved up to seventh in the Western Conference after the 2-0 victory and they take on New Mexico United in week 7.
New Mexico, who sit second in the conference, are still unbeaten this season, winning three and drawing four games, and their last match was a 5-1 hammering against Real Monarchs.
Austin Bold FC vs El Paso Locomotive FC - April 21 (10:00pm)
Andrew Fox didn't feature for El Paso Locomotive during the 2-0 loss to Phoenix Rising last weekend.
El Paso are second-bottom in the Western Conference after winning just one of their five games this season.
Their opponents this weekend are Austin Bold, who are just outside of the top 10, beat Phoenix 1-0 on Thursday evening.
USL League One - Week 4
Chattanooga Red Wolves SC vs South Georgia Tormenta FC - April 21 (12:00am)
Charlie Dennis started during South Georgia Tormenta's draw with Orlando City B last weekend.
Tormenta are still unbeaten in four games, sitting top of USL League One and they take on Chattanooga Red Wolves in week 4.
The Red Wolves have won one of their three games and sit seventh in the table, their last match was a 1-0 loss to Greenville Triumph.
