USL Weekly Preview - July 7
After keeping an eye on two fixtures during the week, PASS4Soccer will be watching four matches across the USL Championship and USL League One this weekend.
Daniel Bruce's New Mexico United travel to Real Monarchs, while Charlie Dennis and his South Georgia Tormenta side host Forward Madison.
Andrew Fox's El Paso Locomotive team are on the road against OKC Energy and Lewis Hilton's Saint Louis FC are at home to Loudoun United.
Each of the four players, who could feature this weekend, gained scholarships through P4S, went on to have successful university careers - as well as graduating with a degree - and are now playing professionally in the United States.
USL Championship - Week 18
Saint Louis FC vs Loudoun United FC - July 7 (1:30am)
Hilton played the full 90 minutes for Saint Louis FC during their 2-1 defeat away to Swope Park Rangers last weekend.
STLFC, who currently sit 10th in the Eastern Conference, are now winless in their last six matches, in the USLC, and have also lost three of their last four games.
Loudoun United are 13th in the table and have won two of their last three games on the road, scoring seven goals in the process.
In their last outing, Loudoun closed the gap to the top 10 after a 2-1 win at home to Atlanta United 2.
OKC Energy FC vs El Paso Locomotive FC - July 7 (2:00am)
Fox was another client who played 90 minutes last weekend as his El Paso Locomotive team lost 3-0 away to Fresno FC.
El Paso's impressive unbeaten streak ended and they've now suffered two defeats in their last three games - with the other game being a draw.
Locomotive are fifth in the Western Conference, while their Week 18 opponents, OKC Energy, are eighth and are just two points behind them.
OKC won 1-0 away to Las Vegas Lights last weekend and they beat El Paso 3-1 on the opening day of the 2019 season.
Real Monarchs SLC vs New Mexico United - July 7 (3:00am)
Bruce started and played 78 minutes for New Mexico United as they drew 1-1 against LA Galaxy II last weekend.
New Mexico have slipped to seventh in the Western Conference and their last victory was back at the end of May - a 3-1 win over Austin Bold.
Their Week 18 opposition, Real Monarchs, are 13th in the conference and have won their last three games and have scored 10 goals.
The Monarchs beat Tulsa Roughnecks 3-1 in their last match and the two sides faced back in Week 4, where New Mexico won 5-1.
USL League One - Week 15
South Georgia Tormenta FC vs Forward Madison FC - July 7 (1:00am)
Tormenta weren't in action last weekend, but Dennis played the full 90 minutes as they beat Richmond Kickers 1-0 in their last game.
The midfielder has been influential this season as Tormenta are unbeaten in their last seven USL League One games - keeping six clean-sheets in the process.
Tormenta are second in the table, four points of leaders North Texas SC, while Forward Madison are eighth and are unbeaten in three games. The Flamingos drew 1-1 away to Toronto FC II last weekend.
The two sides faced back in Week 7 and it was Tormenta, who came away from Breese Stevens Field with a 1-0 victory and three points.
